FAST trip through Arkansas!

ADAllen was a FAST knitter, so our blanket didn't stay long in Arkansas!

Here's a close-up of her knitting. She used Knit Picks "Swish" superwash in the color Sunshine, and used the pattern "Vertical Weave".

Now, our blanket is heading off to Florida, to visit with Auburnchick!

Our Blanket was Touched by the Yarn Harlot!

Way Cool! As you know, our blanket is in Texas, in the home of Sweet Thang.

Well, Sweet Thang was lucky enough to see the Yarn Harlot speaking in her area, so she took the blanket along to get a photo with her!

Jill A. is alive and well!

I just heard from Jill A, and she is fine. She didn't see my message because she was sick. Poor thing!

Anyway, we've added her back on the list, so she'll get another chance to knit.

Oddball Blanket #5 is going to Texas!

We've finally found a knitter that is ready for our blanket! Jill A didn't respond to my email, and GJ is injured, so I checked with Sweet Thang, and she is ready!

So, onto Texas we go!

More changes for Oddball Blanket #5

I think our 5th Blanket is a bit of a rebel. (tee-hee!)

So far, we've had several incidents with it, but somehow we've pulled through.

For example, two of our knitters are not able to participate right now. One of them never replied to my email about their turn with the blanket, so I had to move on to the next knitter. Then, the next knitter replied to say that she can't knit because her hands are both in splints right now! Poor girl!
Poor GJ Can't Knit

So that means, we've skipped TWO knitters in the list. Whew!

I've called in one of our pinch knitters to help out in the meantime. Welcome to the Oddball Knitters, traceleighj!

A Successful Journey to Idaho

Our blanket is traveling well through the USA now. :)

Jhelanee finished her section, and mailed it to Mariblue in Idaho.

Now, Mariblue is adding her knitting to the project.

Yippee!! Our blanket is on its way to becoming....a BLANKET!

A New Beginning

Our blanket is still travelling from the Netherlands, so we've decided to start a replacement blanket. If the blanket from the Netherlands ever shows up, we'll use it to start ANOTHER blanket! *thumbs up*

So, off we go in a different direction.

Last night, Shandeh cast on 300 stitches, using Wool-Ease yarn in a nice rich variegated shade called "Autumn". It has nice browns, burgundies, and greens. She almost has enough done to mail it off to our next knitter, jhelanee!

Our Blanket REALLY LOVES the Netherlands!

Simply Kaar just informed me that our blanket just came back to her house!
I think it must be in love with the Netherlands....or maybe it's just attached to Simply Kaar! :)

Anyway, the package was damaged, and the extra goodies she included were gone! :(

The good news?

So, now she's going to mail it AGAIN, with hopes of a successful journey to the US this time.

Everybody cross the crossables!

We need all the luck we can get!

Change of Plans!

One of our knitters has had to back out from participating in our knit-along. :(
So, we told her it was okay, and asked one of our "pinch knitters" to fill in for her.

Suziehomemaker said she was GLAD to join us! :)

So, our list has been changed a tiny bit, and the Oddball Blanket will continue!!

Our 5th Oddball Blanket is in the Netherlands!

Wow! Our blanket arrived in the Netherlands VERY quickly!

Now, SimplyKaar will add her special touch to our charity blanket. I wish I could be there to see that beautiful area, and talk with SimplyKaar. How cool that would be!

Shandeh sent some extra goodies, including a drop spindle and fiber. Now, SimplyKaar can learn how to spin yarn!

Starting our 5th Oddball Charity Blanket!

Yes, once again, those crazy knitters at the Knitting Help Forum are making a blanket for charity. Alert the media!! Call Oprah!! These people just CAN'T STOP KNITTING!

Shandeh started the blanket with size 8 circular needles, casting on 300 stitches with a sturdy yarn she had in her stash. Lion Brand Wool-Ease in the color Mink Brown.

So far, so good!
Beginning of Oddball Blanket #5

The next knitter for this blanket lives in THE NETHERLANDS!!!

I would venture to say that this blanket is opening the way to world domination!
